We went to Nebraska this past weekend, to celebrate Christmas with our families, a little bit early.
Friday night, we opened presents with my parents.

Carter waiting patiently for the fun to begin.
Opening up his stocking!
He did such a good job opening the presents
New shoes!
Taking some time out to eat a snack...
Then give Gramps a kiss!!!
Jamie opening one of his presents
Gramps with a new shirt
and Granny Di...who is that handsome little guy!
Carter turned into such a little cookie monster! He quickly figured out where the cookies were, and freqently made trips to the stash. He usually got two cookies...at least he knows how to share!
This was Saturday morning. The first thing he did after we woke up, was walk out to the back porch and snag 2 cookies.
Granny Di pulling Carter in the sled.
Helping Grampa Steve figure out the snow blower!
We took a trip to the Hastings Museum. We pretty much had the run of the whole place. Carter loved running and looking at all the animal displays.
The had a groundwater exhibit...and Carter and daddy raced boats.
Jamie gathering some water.
At the fossil dig.
Those that know me well, know my tidbit of knowledge about Hastings, my hometown. Kool-aid was invented in Hastings. The museum has this wonderful exhibit about kool-aid's early beginnings. Carter was starting to get a little cranky at this time. I would love to go back to really see the exhibit.
Hey Kool-aid Man!!!
Sunday morning we got up and drove to Omaha for Christmas with Jamie's family. Here is Carter playing with his cousin Haley.
Justin and Caden
All the Rohrig cousins! The minute we snapped this picture, they all got up.
Here is the picture from last year! I came back to Dallas Sunday night, and Carter and Jamie are staying until Tuesday in Omaha. It sure was funny coming to an empty house. Can't wait for them to get back!
