Carter starting swimming lessons a few weeks ago...and we are not having good luck with them. We go on Monday and Wednesday nights. The first night he would barely even get into the water. The second night he would actually sit on the side of the pool, but not participate with his class. After that class Jamie got into the pool with him and they played around for awhile. The third night Carter spent the whole class in the water - just not with his class. This past Wednesday night we did the parent/tot class with Carter so that Jamie could be in the water with him. He did much better, but still didn't want anything to do with the instructor.
It is really frustrating because he is totally not afraid to be in the water, and really enjoys swimming...just doesn't want to have anything to do with his class. We will stick with it, and I'm sure he will get it one day!
