Our gradual transition to a "big boy bed"

A few weekends ago, we decided to turn Carter's crib into the toddler bed. That should have been fine and dandy, but I think we bought the one and only 4 in 1 crib that doesn't come with a bed rail. The first night Carter fell out 2 times, and ended up sleeping with us the rest of the night. As you can see, he was very excited to be able to crawl in and out of his crib on his own.

He even invited Britney up.

So, since we couldn't find a bed rail to fit on his bed, we moved his mattress to the floor, and that is where he slept all last week. (he still rolled off of the mattress, at least it wasn't too far to fall.)

Finally, a new bed. We made a trip to IKEA on Saturday...bad timing though...we were rushed and they were crowded, and we had to make it back in time for Jamie to watch the final 4...ingredients for a bad trip to IKEA.
We bought a bed, but decided on the way home that it wasn't what we wanted. So, Sunday morning we went back to IKEA, right when they opened, and had a much better time.

Carter telling us what Monsters say...he's reading "Where the Wild Things Are"

He looks like such a big boy in his new bed.

So peaceful!!
Yesterday when we came home from work, I was in my bedroom, and when I came back, Carter had gotten his Mr. Potatohead glasses out, and was walking around with them like this!

What a goof!

You are brave! We can't decide when the right time is!
